A brightening and all mineral SPF 40 moisturizer featuring African Potato Extract, a natural Hydroquinone Alternative, to help reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation to reveal an even skin tone while increasing collagen production.

Application Tips:

When applying any of the All Mineral SPF moisturizers, full coverage is important, and an pea-sized amount of product can go a long way.

  • For the best application experience, treat and hydrate the skin first using an oil, serum or concentrate. We love layering them over the Facial Recovery Oil, Camellia Glow Solid Face Oil, Mangosteen Daily Resurfacing Concentrate or Bamboo Firming Fluid for the great results and the delicious scent combinations! Ensure that when layering, the first layer of product is fully absorbed first before applying the SPF moisturizer.
  • For adequate coverage, we recommend starting with a pea-sized amount of product, warming it up in the palm of your hands and applying it on high points of your face first – nose, cheeks, forehead – before carefully working product to the rest of your face. Patting and pressing the SPF moisturizer onto the skin with also avoid overworking the product, allowing it to settle.

Pros: product line is overall great
Cons: disappointed with change in formula
Skin Type: Mature
Age Group: 60+
I still use but disappointed with formula change

I'm 61 and used the SPF30 product for years. It was the one sunscreen that gave me protection when running because it absorbed very well and didn't get into my eyes. I also purchased some for my daughter years ago and she also loved it until they changed the formula! Though disappointed with the new formula, I do use the SPF40 but now have to first dab my face/neck with a tiny bit of water in order for the SPF40 to absorb adequately. Otherwise, it gives my face a whitish, pasty appearance that doesn't apply/absorb well -very annoying.

Settles in the pores

As far as sunscreen, it seems to protect the skin, as a day cream not too excited about it. I used a serum to help smooth and apply but it still took a lot of effort to smooth out for adequate coverage. The white residue likes to settle in the pores and if you wear makeup over it, it shows through.

Pros: Reduces uneven skin tone, good sunscreen
Cons: White residue, but it's minimal if you mist before applying
Skin Type: Normal
Age Group: 60+
Great Sunscreen and Moisturizer Combo

This is my usual daily moisturizer. There's minimal residual white residue if you use the stone crop mist before applying the moisturizer. The sunscreen is effective. The jar lasts a few months.

Pros: Excellent Sun protection, Pleasantly scented, Promotes healthy skin

After sampling, this was a must have!

I love the sun protection that this Moisturizer provides. I found it is best applied following an eminence hydrating mist or tonique, as it'll help with the application.

A little goes a long way and you can easily layer over areas of concern (i.e. blemishes, cuts, etc.) that may need a little more protection.

I've read reviews with folks indicating that this will leave white streaks on your face. With my experience, if you're properly hydrated beforehand (with a mist or tonique) and apply in sections to your face, you won't have this. Ya just need a little patience, that's all.

My skin looks healthy and moisturized, with a semi-matte finish after application. Sometimes I follow up with the Sun Defense Minerals powder which further enhances my skin appearance.

More of a sunscreen than Moisturizer

I feel like the formula is off. If I had to guess I would say it's 90% sunscreen and 10% moisturizer. I have to dilute this bright skin moisturizer SPF 40 with my calm skin chamomile moisturizer AT A 50/50 and my face is still pure white and it feels sticky & cakey. Argg. No doubt it's probably ssaying me from the harmful UV rays with being so strong with the SPF ingredients but I can use my $10 SPF body sunscreen instead. I would not recommend this product with the way it's formulated at this time.

Glad I tried the sample size

turned me white like a ghost and my face felt like i had rubbed cake all over it. I decided instead to combine Sun Bum with my regular moisturizer from Lush.

HI Shayla,

So sorry to hear! Please know that with a lot of organic SPFs the best application experience, treat and hydrate the skin first using an oil, serum or concentrate.

For adequate coverage, we recommend starting with a pea-sized amount of product, warming it up in the palm of your hands and applying it on high points of your face first – nose, cheeks, forehead – before carefully working product to the rest of your face. Patting and pressing the SPF moisturizer onto the skin with also avoid overworking the product, allowing it to settle.

Hope this helps and please reach out at service@buynaturalskincare.com if you have any other questions.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
